Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
This notice explains how Oddball Motion Pictures (UK) Limited uses personal information in connection with this website, business enquiries and UK production services. It is intended to meet the transparency requirements of the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable UK electronic communications law.
01 / Who is responsible
Oddball Motion Pictures (UK) Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 13340351, is the controller for personal information it handles for its own UK business purposes. Its registered office is Flat 4, 194a Hanworth Road, Hounslow, TW3 3TU, United Kingdom.
For privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights, email office@oddballmotionpictures.com with “Privacy” in the subject line, or write to the registered office.
Our parent company, Oddball Motion Pictures Private Limited in India, is a separate legal entity. If an enquiry is directed to that company, it is responsible for its own processing. Where we act only on a production client’s instructions, that client’s privacy notice and our contractual obligations also apply. Separate notices may be provided for casting, recruitment, employment or particular productions.
02 / Information we handle
- Contact and correspondence details, such as your name, email, telephone number, organisation, role and the information you send by email, telephone or WhatsApp.
- Business and production information needed for an enquiry or engagement, including proposals, professional credits, scheduling, contractual and payment details.
- Technical information generated when you visit the website, which may include IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, timestamps and security logs handled by hosting providers.
- Cookie preferences and, only where permitted, information associated with optional analytics or advertising technologies.
We receive information directly from you and, where relevant, from your organisation, production partners or publicly available professional sources. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send identity documents, health information or other sensitive information unless specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
03 / Purposes and lawful bases
- Enquiries and proposals: to respond and discuss services, relying on legitimate interests in running our business, or steps at your request before entering a contract with you.
- Production services and administration: to deliver engagements, coordinate suppliers and manage records, relying on performance of a contract where you are a party, or legitimate interests where you represent an organisation.
- Accounts and compliance: to keep required financial records and meet legal obligations; to establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.
- Website operation and security: to deliver content, prevent misuse and investigate faults, relying on legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, functioning website.
- Optional cookies and marketing: consent where required by law. Any permitted business marketing must have an appropriate lawful basis and a clear way to object or unsubscribe.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we must consider the impact on your rights and reasonable expectations. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If special-category or criminal-offence data is needed for a production, an additional lawful condition and appropriate safeguards are required; this notice is not consent to collect it.
You do not have to send an enquiry or agree to optional cookies. Without information necessary to respond or fulfil an engagement, we may be unable to provide the requested service.
04 / Cookies and external services
The website stores your cookie choice in browser local storage under “oddball-cookie-consent”. Optional analytics and advertising preferences are denied by default. You can accept, reject or change them through Cookie settings. We do not load analytics or advertising tags before the relevant consent.
Necessary hosting or security technologies may operate to deliver the website. Your browser settings can also clear stored preferences; doing so may cause the consent banner to appear again.
Google Maps appears on the Contact page, and selected trailers use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. Loading an embedded service sends technical information, including your IP address, to its provider; privacy-enhanced playback does not make that provider anonymous. Playing a video or interacting with a map may involve additional provider storage or processing. Their own privacy notices apply: Google and YouTube.
WhatsApp, social media and news links take you to independent services. Choosing them is optional and their own privacy terms apply. The website’s cookie choice does not control those services.
05 / Who may receive information
Information may be shared, where necessary for the purposes above, with authorised personnel; hosting, IT and communications providers; production clients, crew and suppliers; professional advisers, insurers and payment providers; and authorities where legally required. Access should be limited to what the recipient needs, with confidentiality and data protection obligations appropriate to their role.
Relevant enquiries or production information may be shared with our India parent company where needed to coordinate work. Group membership alone is not a basis to share personal information without a lawful purpose.
06 / Transfers outside the UK
Production work, our India parent company and international service providers may involve processing outside the UK. Where a transfer is restricted by UK data protection law, it must be covered by a UK adequacy regulation, appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, or a permitted exception. Relevant transfer risk assessments and any additional protections must be applied where required.
India is not covered by a general UK adequacy regulation. Transfers to India therefore require another valid transfer mechanism where the UK transfer rules apply. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information or a copy, subject to lawful redactions.
07 / Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for its purpose, taking account of whether an enquiry becomes an engagement, contractual requirements, statutory accounting obligations, applicable limitation periods and any dispute or legal hold. Unneeded information should be deleted or anonymised. There is no single retention period for all production information; contact us for the period or criteria applicable to your records.
Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards must protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No website or communication channel can guarantee absolute security. Where a personal data breach occurs, notification to the ICO and affected individuals is required when the statutory thresholds are met.
08 / Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in UK law, you may request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you have an absolute right to object to processing for direct marketing. You may also withdraw consent.
Send requests to office@oddballmotionpictures.com. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; where a lawful extension is necessary, we will explain it. Requests are normally free, although UK law allows a reasonable fee or refusal in limited circumstances, including manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
This website does not make decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
09 / Complaints
Please contact us if you have a concern about how your information is handled. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, without first contacting us: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113, or write to Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.
10 / Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our services, processing or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Where required, significant changes will be brought to your attention separately.
